About Me

Bio

I’m Michael Fey, a software developer with almost a decade of programming experience under my belt. I’ve worked on everything from mobile development on the iPhone to large scale Java deployments on multiple platforms.  I find real joy in programming whenever I get to work with Cocoa and am fortunate enough to be employed by No Thirst Software doing just that.

I’m a big fan of Apple’s products and have been since my parents bought me my first Mac when I was 12 - a Quadra 610. Since then I have racked up an impressive number of “switchers” to my name and feel personally responsible for Apple’s growing market share in the Central New York region.

I have a real passion for my work and love being a part of a development community that shares in my endeavor to create applications that are beautifully designed, intuitive, and Just Work™.

When I’m not writing software I spend time with my wife and dog, the omnipresent forces of love, support, and inspiration in my life.

Geek Gear

My current computer is a 15″ MacBook Pro running Mac OS X Snow Leopard connected to a 24″ Apple LED Cinema Display.  My phone is a first generation iPhone (you read that right) running OS 3.1.2.
